Painting Outside - Little joys of after Long Winter

Painting Outside - Little joys of after Long Winter

After a long and cold winter, emerging from the cave, getting to paint outside again is one of the most joyous things!

In previous years, I have taken my watercolors and sketchbooks with me to many mountain tops and waterfalls. This year, I decided dust off the dirt of my acrylic paints, and bring them into the great outdoors. Inspired by the impressionist painters, carrying their painting supplies with them to capture what they see.

Starting up a Plein Air painting business was also a kick in the pants! I created a outdoor workshop for the Biltmore Estate. My first class was Mother's Day, May 8, 2022. So I had to get some practice in!

I wanted to share a few pictures of some recent plein air acrylic painting I have done. I hope to keep painting all Summer and see improvement in my work.
